Most Aero Chiefs had white painted booms, but Glendale had theirs painted the same color as the rest of the truck. This rig was eventually sold to Tolleson, AZ.

LaGrande had American LaFrance rechassis their Aero Chief 90 onto a Freightliner FL-80 four door chassis in 2001, providing additional years of service.

Originally delivered to Moyer's Corners, NY, this Aero Chief 80 was refurbed by Young Fire Equipment with a new Spartan cab and new bodywork. It was later sold to Waterloo, NY. This one has the optional 6" waterway.

1968 ALF 900 Series Aero Chief 90 from Portsmouth, VA

Portsmouth upgraded the warning lights and added reflective stripes to their Aero Chief 90. It was retired and sold in the late 1990's.

This one served Wildwood Crest for over thirty years before being traded in on a new E-One Bronto Skylift.

1968 ALF 900 Series Aero Chief 90 from Colorado Springs, CO

Originally delivered with an open cab, this Aero Chief 90 had a fiberglass roof added during it's career. At some point later, stress cracks were discovered in the boom. The boom was removed and the rig served as a city service truck for several more years before being scrapped.

This typical low profile Aero Chief 80 served Bossier City for many years. It is reported to be kept in storage there at this time.

1969 ALF 900 Series Aero Chief 90 Quint from Euclid, OH

An interesting overhead shot of an Aero Chief 90 quint. This rig was retired in the late 1980's and sold to a collector who sold it to a tree trimmer in 1992. It was later sold to an equipment rental company in Perrysburg, OH. The pump and bodywork were removed. (Better photo needed)
