1969 ALF 900 Series Aero Chief 80 from Andover, MA

This Aero Chief was sold to the Fire Department in Ascutney, VT for it's drivetrain in the early 1990's. After the 8V-71 Detroit Diesel engine and Allison automatic transmission were removed, the remains were scrapped.

Still painted in the green livery of the Castle Shannon Fire Department in Pennsylvania, the "Green Giant" serves the Forest Hays Correctional Facility in Summerville, GA.

1969 ALF 900 Series Aero Chief 80 Quint from Lewiston, NY

Lewiston Fire Company #1 reduced the setup time for their Aero Chief by welding larger jack plates to the outriggers. This one is still in service there and currently up for sale.
